| Piano features: An incredible representative of the glory years of the American piano. Made in 1911 by Chickering of Boston, MA, we restored this piano this year. The original soundboard was kept and restored due to the unique gorgeous tone of this instrument. New French Paulello music wire for the treble and JD Grandt bass strings were installed. The action is fitted with a complete new Tokiwa action. New Ronson Bacon felt hammers were chosen for their ability to replicate the tone of this piano when it was new. The original ivory keys were sanded and polished, the action carefully regulated, and of course, the Honduran Mahogany cabinet was completely refinished in satin lacquer. This piano is truly magnificent!! | |
