The early part of the twentieth century has long been considered one of
the finest eras for Steinway pianos. The craftsmanship was unparalleled, and the case
design was a perfect blend of modern style with classic lines. This piano is no
exception and we are most excited to complete this fine instrument.
The following components are being used in the restoration of this Steinway O: Alaskan Cedar sound board, Michigan hard rock maple bridges, Steinway strings, featuring specially made combination copper/stainless steel wound bass strings. New Steinway action parts, including repetitions, hammer shanks, and hammers. New underlevers and damper felts are also being installed.
The finish is hand rubbed ebony lacquer with nickel plated case hardware. The fallboard decal is Steinway chrome. All felts and rubber buttons are new as well. The fit and finish of this piano is exquisite.
Action is regulated according to Steinway specs, and the tone is gorgeous as would be expected from this vintage. Includes matching Jansen artist bench.
